First Herald Fight Glitch

I died at the same time I killed the first Herald in the Fourth Act at the excavation site. When I respawned I had no loot and cannot progress as it still says to Confront Kanu and the First Herald but the Herald is nowhere to be found and I cannot go through the big door that was behind him. How can I reset the game progress before my last checkpoint? I’ll fight him again but I don’t know how to get farther back in my progression.

I just solved by getting out of the map and let it reset. After that just went back and fought him again! Hope this helps.
