I expected merchant tabs right away

I guess I must have missed something in the announcement that said PoE1 would be getting them at some indeterminate point in the future? I don't know.

I know I converted a bunch of tabs to merchant tabs expecting I'd be able to use them right away. I guess that's my fault, but it's very disappointing. The absurd trading system is one of my biggest pain points for PoE1 and this was, honestly, the solution I wanted. I was thrilled to hear it announced and that it would also apply to PoE1. Finally, a market system that isn't just the worst.

Except I guess not.

Once upgraded, a tab will no longer be accessible in Path of Exile 1 until Merchant's Tabs are supported there. Items stored in an upgraded tab will remain in a remove-only version of the original Premium Stash Tab.

It isn't even in the PoE2 patch notes.

It should have been much harder to disable my PoE1 tabs than this. Those tabs are literally useless now until some nebulous point in the future when maybe they won't be... possibly.

I was happy to change them to merchant tabs based on what GGG said about the system. I'm significantly less happy to learn that the conversion of those tabs and the actual implementation of the system are separated by an entirely-unknown period of time.

I converted all my tabs and effectively fucked PoE1 for myself until they make them available again.
It's also non-reversable even by contacting support.

If it ain't fixed by next PoE 1 league I just won't be playing it again, even though I want to.
