Is more dmg multiplicative with more dmg

Is 30% more dmg 30% increased dmg or 30% more more dmg when you already have 30% more dmg to begin with?

I mean, say if you got 100dps and already have a 30%more mod, would another 30% more mod give you 130 dps (1.3x77)x1.3 or would it give 123 dps 1.6x77

Hope my worded or math explanation is coherent, usually suck when it comes to explaining stuff like this lol.

Wrong on both accounts. Every "more" (and "less") modifier applies multiplicatively. Redbeak does not have "more" damage on low life, it has "increased" damage on low life.

Two 30% more mods on 100dps:

100 * 1.3 * 1.3 = 169dps.


Two 30% increased mods:

100 * (1 + 0.3 + 0.3) = 160 dps.
k my version of how it works and why righteous fire and remote mine are so powerful

lets assume you have a

50% wand
50% from passives
50% from shield

we activate righteous fire and get 50% more dmg resulting in 150% x 1,5 = 225%

an increase mechanism would raise it to 200%

my thought is increase= additive more = multiplicative thats why ci what to get nerfed to 20% more es it used to be 50% more was way too powerful

there is a major dps increase when i test it on remote mine

If it says spell on the skill gem it will, however i think it does not. Also it is a buff/skill, and only passive nodes are applied to summons and obviuesly support gems.

I wanted to do tempest shield + necromantic aegis (it's a similar situation) but mark told me it does not function that way.

GGG stated several times your stats are your own so sadly no :)

@ boem yes makes sense necro aegis acts like you have no shield so with no shield you cant use temp shield
