Heavy Stuttering and Computer Crashing

Reporting here that I was experiencing repeated computer crashes playing poe2 (outside of loading screens). This would happen while playing with heavy effects, and even while standing idle in my hideout in one instance right after starting. Issue would begin with 1-2 second long stutters, and progressively worsen over about 30 seconds until my monitors went black (music continued to play in the background) and I had to force shut down my computer.

I tried changing nearly every graphic setting to no avail. Tried driectx 11 and 12, no change. I would even get stuttering in character selection - could not figure out what was causing it. No setting change I tried made any noticeable difference in behavior - it would always progressively worsen stuttering towards an inevitable crash.

Eventually I reverted my NVIDA driver back to version 566.36 and all issues stopped.
Something is wrong with NVIDIA driver version 572.16 and how it interacts with poe2 on my system.
