Big lagspikes? issues with the server?

i noticed i am getting some big lag spikes today, and also people in chat confirmed they have issues too (Delerium everywhere SSF);
Are there some issues with the servers atm ?

You're getting packet loss that starts at your router/modem. Wired or wireless? If wireless, try going wired. This isn't a server issue.

Power cycle your router/modem, turn them off and unplug them for AT LEAST a minute.

Re-run the MTR. PL goes away, you should be good to go. If not, call your ISP. Tell them that you are getting PL and that it's affecting your ability to do what you want to online. Make sure that they see your MTR as that is the proof that they will need to see that something is borked.

Thank you for your reply.
I'll reset everything and will see how it goes from there.

Just for my understanding, how do you see/understand such a thing from the diag report? Or is there some site that explains it? (assuming this has been asked a dozen of times before)
Hehe, no worries :)

So, in your trace, the % field shows 4%. If that percentage was at a single node, with 0%'s everywhere else, that isn't true packet loss. That's something called ICMP packet depriortization. Basically, the ping packets are being ignored so more important data can get through.

With your trace however, as said, that 4% packet loss goes from your first hop, all the way to your last. That is how you know it's true packet loss. It MUST go through to the end of the entire trace from where ever it starts.

With it starting at your first hop, that is usually indicative of some form of Router/modem issue, or someone who is using Wifi and getting some form of interference - hence why I suggested going wired if you aren't.

And one more just because it explains ICMP packets a bit: https://blog.usdedicated.com/what-is-this-mtr-telling-me-b3e959b65b78?gi=23f8b39c7d3f
