Flame Surge

hey :)
can someone please explain the new flame surge interaction with ignite?
i understand that your passive tree or gems dont effect the damage of the ground.
but.. it says "Burning Ground deals 25% of Fire Damage per second of Ignite affecting Enemy" and i think its badly worded because i cant figure out if it means fire damage per second equal to 25% of the entire ignite damage remained on the enemy or 25% of the fire damage per second from the ignite.. it makes different because of duration.. for example if my ignite does 1mil dps for a duration of 8 seconds.. (total of 8 milion damage) will the burning ground be 25% of the 8 mil (total ignite damage over 8 seconds left) or 25% of the 1mil (the dps of the ignite) ? thanks alot !

Edit: and how does it interact with multiple ignites for example from Emberwake will it do 25% of the damage from all ignites per ignite or only 1?

Burning Ground from Flame Surge deals quarter of ignite damage.

Not sure about interaction with multiple ignites, my bet it counts only 1 ignite.
