Block and Divine Shield

If you block a physical hit, does it contribute to Divine shield?

Blocking a 10,000 hit, would regen you 300es/s

Is this the correct interaction?

It should.

Physical Damage prevented from Hits Recently is Regenerated as Energy Shield per second

Yes, generally speaking, everything that makes you take less physical damage from hit counts as prevention.

I listed somewhere all or most mechanics that are preventing (physical) damage not so long sgo. Among pretty obvious ones like Avoidance and Block, there is Damage taken as *type* ("damage shift" in wiki terms) which aslo counts as physical damage prevention. While it makes sense since the mechanic get you take less physical damage, it's very unintuitive (at least for me, and given how people are confused even about block, I'd say it's very unintuitive for most players).

upd. physical damage taken as *type* is not physical prevention, see below for details

So chieftain phys as fire counts for divine shield?????
The damage is converted to fire then fire resistance prevents fire damage. I highly doubt conversion would count.

This is not true.
In my previous test I totally forgot that I have to use

to counteract Jugg's Unbreakable "5% reduced Damage taken" and used

instead. Turned out, regeneration increasing I noticed was from reduced damage taken (since I didn't counter it), not from "phys damage taken as fire". I've tested it with
and this doesn't provide regeneration as initailly expected.

Fortunately someone asked Mark about this and he answered https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/qd4crg/comment/hjczqj3 so I retested it, you know, properly.
