My expedition stash tabs didn't get put in "remove only" tabs in standard, it merged with my main stash and now I have no space.

Yes, this is how it works.
Remove Tabs are created when you haven’t paid for the number of tabs contained in your stash. "VPs are not required to change their posting style. They are still welcome to express their opinions and take part in any discussions they wish. Their only responsibility is to continue doing what they have always done - posting in a friendly and constructive manner."

I don't think I'm following. So I've bought currency, map, and premium tabs and they were filled up when league ended. Now those tabs got merged into my standard tabs, there's NO "remove only" league tabs and I have no space left for additional currency and items if I decided to continue on standard. This is how it works?

The problem isn't stuff being hidden, that's already showing. Problem is my expedition stuff took over my standard stash space. They didn't turn to "remove-only" tabs. Take this stash tab, it merged my Tab "3" from expedition into my Tab "3" from standard, and not a Tab "3" remove only tab. My currency and maps tab got merged into my standard as well and now I'm almost out of space for some currencies.

Thanks for your answer, I think we're on the right track now. I did create a standard char first, and switched over to expedition when I figured things out a little. You're right, I didn't have much in my standard stash, but there were still some stuff and I wanted to keep standard and challenge league stuff separate. Also, the extra space would've been nice to continue on standard, especially for currency. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't chasing a pointless cause since everyone's been saying there should be "remove-only" tabs, but I didn't get that and don't know any better. Do you think this is something I should email GGG about?

" My guess is that your standard tabs were "empty" and that's why everything was rolled over as "normal tabs". GGG Support should be able to confirm this...... |

in standard there also is a standalone expedition stash (called "expedition locker"). you can select it in the hideout decoration options and place it somewhere (maybe next to the horticraft station and the heist locker which are also available over this menu).
in the special lockers you have to click the checkbox on the bottom to have those league specific items automatically go to those stashes when you add them to your main stash (which worked the same way during the league) then, when you remove those items from your readonly-tabs and put them into your stash again they get auto moved to the special stashes.  age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
