Using Vaal Summon Skeleton and then i died

Hi am a newbie and i'm using my Vaal summon skeleton for first time in my build, and here's what happend. After i summoned my skeletons for 30 seconds and they disappear and my health auto went down while i do nothing the more the skeletons dissapear the more health i lose, can anyone tell me why?
