Hardcore - How to survive?
Hello everyone! I recently started playing PoE again and I've noticed there are many, many people who want to play hardcore but they don't know to. So I've made a short video guide with the basics for hardcore beginners:

Its difficult to explain but mostly you have to find out if they actually want to play HC or not
If you want to play HC to measure dicks, posture or because of some inferiority complex, stay in SC because your just diminishing your fun, if you want to play HC because the game feels hollow without a failure state then proceed (essentially) that's a gross simplification but it'll do to cover. After that its just the usual for getting into anything, don't go too fast, follow a good build and start with simple objectives like finish the acts 1-3 etc. Knowledge is 99% of what you need until like late red maps at which point player skill and your specific build become increasingly important but getting a character to yellows and mapping comfortably is perfectly doable for most players if they are open to learn and just pay attention. Sadly going back to the first point I think its important players know that most won't kill all the bosses, this is true now more than ever with the endgame being frankly designed for better SC builds and HC kinda left on the back burner. Its doable on HC but there aren't that many players that comfortably farm Maven/A8/Tougher Invitations etc and they have specific methodologies to do so. Its easy currency if you can but again requires a different build focus and practice, lots of practice. Last edited by Draegnarrr#2823 on Jun 10, 2021, 11:09:45 AM

Yeah, I know - very few people are able to kill all the bosses in hardcore but for me that's exactly the reason it's great to play it. The feeling when you kill a boss or when you level up your character on hardcore is unmatched and for me that's the most fun way to play this game. You just need to follow specific builds for hardcore and u will be fine
