Poets Pen Attackspeed requirements.

I am not sure if I understand this correctly, but they made Poets Pen internal CD 0,15 sec, so it could trigger up to 6,66666 times per sec if enough attackspeed is present. With the changge to pen

The Poet's Pen now only triggers spells socketed within it if you attacked with that specific weapon. Previously, dual-wielding The Poet's Pen would mean that you triggered spells from both weapons with each attack.

It would require me in pob to have close to 13,3 attacks per second when dual wielding?

No.
Your triggers speed is the same it is just you trigger it in sequence rather then at same time.

edit:
was thinking something and got me on blind spot, yes to trigger at maximum speed each wand need to hit to trigger so the attack speed need to be double.

Assuming the two weapons don't share a cooldown (they might?), yes, 13.33333... will get you the desired maximum number of triggered spells. You attack every 0.075 seconds but since you're alternating, each weapon fires every 0.15 seconds.

This is correct only if you don't use same skills in wands else they share cooldown.
Actually, the way cooldowns work is a little unintuitive due to technical limitations.

The server only checks cooldowns every 33 ms, which means that the cooldown of 150 ms becomes the next higher multiple of 33 ms, which is 165 ms. Once you get enough increased cooldown recovery speed (14% or more) for your nominal cooldown to reach below the next lower multiple of 33 ms, which is 132 ms, you will actually notice the difference in cooldowns.

Without increased cooldown recovery speed investment, you want to stay below 6.06 APS per spell that you trigger with Poet's Pens. With two Poet's Pens or two different spells socketed in one Poet's Pen, the maximum you would want is 12.12 APS.

Going over this threshold causes your cooldowns to not be ready by the time your next attack would trigger the spells, causing you to miss a lot of casts. It does not instantly start to skip half the casts if you move over the threshold by a small amount, but the loss is significantly higher than the loss of lowering your attack speed to have a safety margin.

Here is a post on reddit explaining the whole thing in detail and listing all the cooldown thresholds for triggers with short cooldowns.

That was insanely helpful, thx alot.

Something like your linked reddit post was what i was searching for, well google let me down but the internet not^^

Now would be the question how the hell I am ever going to hit 12 aps. Even with essense elder gloves, alot of golem effect (even as golem helm enchantment! etc, frenzy charges, as corruption on the pens 8-9 aps is really where it ends on reasomable choises on elemantalist.
Maybe i need to look more to raider.

Either way, thx alot.

Barrage alternates hand per projectile when dual wielding OP so you use that if your trying to use double PP I believe.
Unlike spellslinger, poet's pen specifies it only triggers per attack. Barrage is 1 attack.

Frenzy would be the best choice I imagine. With zero investment into frenzy charge scaling, it's still 12% more global damage, 12% increased attack speed, and 15% more attack speed.
