Does Elemental Hit aoe burst overlap?

If i melee hit monster A, B and C.
D stands within all ABC's aoe burst radius.
Does D get aoe overlapping all three aoe?

If the monster been hit by direct hit, it wont also receive damage from the explosion. I assume you are direct hitting A and then your ancestral mirages auto target and direct hit B and C. The answer is: all of them A B C and D will be receive 3x damages each. A B C are receiving one direct hit and two explosion damages each. D is receiving zero direct hits and three explosion damages.
