So, Just Killed Merveil...no loot.
|
So, the final boss of Act 1, you'd think there would be some sort of advanced drop table. Apparently not. Upon her death, she drops a whopping 4 white items. No magic, no rare.
I understand the need for some random behavior, but the last boss in an act should drop at least a few shiny bits. Has anyone else run across this issue, or is this perhaps a product/bug of the recent patch? This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

i admit, getting nothing significant from that end of Act 1 battle was a bit of a downer. i realise the devs dont want bosses to be farmed, but.. y'know.. something to compensate for the couple of deaths i had attempting to kill her would be nice.
i miss the Large Chests :( not that they ever contained anything useful but the explosion of loot popping out was always a nice thing to see. |

Gotto love these kind of topics popping every now and then... As if any of them killed boss' hundreds of times and still yet didn't find anything other than whites.
Unviable as much as it gets. "This is too good for you, very powerful ! You want - You take"

" I find it interesting that you keep popping up in these threads. I'm genuinely curious why it is that you seem to think the loot dropping off of merveil is so appropriate? You guys can play the statistics game all you want and call for more data, but the fact remains that this shouldn't be happening at all. If it does, it's either a bug, or drop tables need to be tweaked. I detailed in the other thread how the devs stated their intent for drop rates on bosses to be more meaningful. This patch did the exact opposite. |

" Because these kind of 'instant' opened threads generally carry either "rage" or "whin" with them regardless of how they ever could be valid. Because they are always created right after a 'dissapointment'. So that there leaves a very small chance for to be counted as a valid value after all. This is like asking "why i did not win the lottery !", its the exact logic this thread is opened by, nothing less nothing more. Edit: I don't mean OP created a whinny thread, as i said it just goes for generally. "This is too good for you, very powerful ! You want - You take" Last edited by BrecMadak#3812 on May 9, 2012, 8:31:19 PM

" Except you couldn't be more wrong. These threads are valid beta feedback. I agree there has been more of them then there need to be, they could be consolidated into a few threads, but you shouldn't dismiss their feedback as whining. It's an act 1 boss. The devs have stated their intent for them to drop meaningful loot, they currently don't. Therefore, this is meaningful feedback that belongs in the beta feedback forums. Your responses however seem more akin to trolling as best as I can tell. You seem to want to roll in to everyones thread and inform them of how uneducated they are for not knowing better. |

I intend to kill her a few more time. I was just very surprised by the lack of any kind of drop following my first kill of the end of act boss.
Under any circumstance, it's disappointing to complete the hardest boss at that point, and receive gear worse than on the first minions killed. My personal feedback is that the drop table should be tweaked to give at least a minimal magic/rare drop, even if not useful vs. even having the option of completing an act and receiving nothing. |

" Not exactly. The difference is that people know the odds of winning the lottery, and they don't want the odds of loot dropping from bosses to be the same. In other words, many people, such as the OP, are requesting that initial boss kills drop a guaranteed amount of rare loot. That would be completely the opposite of a lottery. " And they'll get it. Already got a dev response in another thread. |
