Desktop Icon

I'm not sure if I have a corrupted version, but the current desktop icon I have for Path of Exile is an unclear, pixelly, poorly resized mess. Is there another icon that I'm missing, or is this a stand-in? I wouldn't even mind pixelling in a rendition of my own if GGG has better things to do. I just feel that the incredible level of polish and beauty in this game is betrayed by a little icon that shows up on the screen. :)

The OP may have already solved this problem but I thought I might as well post up my solutions for anybody else who finds the pixelated icon a bit unpleasant/distracting.

1.Visit http://niallr.deviantart.com/art/Path-of-Exile-HD-Desktop-Icon-294509568
2.Click "Download File" located to the right of the page
3.Open/Unzip with any compatible program (7zip/WinRAR/Winzip) and save the .ICO file

To change current PoE Desktop Icon:
Right-click icon/Properties/Change Icon/Browse and find saved .ICO file

I think it's a standard size icon, that's upscaled to 7 and vistas newer larger sized icon size.

Meaning that they need to make a modern icon. It was probably made a long time ago.

I made a couple icons earlier that were posted here.

I like the new "PoE" icon, but not so much the 16x16 "E" image.

I play windowed, and the "E" that appears in my taskbar seems generic.
