[Bug] Something is seriously wrong with loot (resolved with 0.10.7)

Dear all,

I am encountering what is for me a game breaking bug. First off, let me start with the basics, I am a level 84 summoner and I play this game for progression and the thrill of identifying new items / chancing uniques etc. My farming statistics are: IIQ 104%, IIR 267% (on the killing ability which is arc linked to IIQ, IIR, Culling strike, Life Leech).

Drop from boss 1: 1 scroll, 1 rare.
Drop from boss 2: 4 magic, 8 rares.
Special circumstance: The boss that died first was standing right next to the wall.
Comment: Could it be that if mobs are killed next to the walls loot is actually generated but either not dropping or in someway lost?

PoE is an ARPG heavily based on RNG and in game trading. Thats how you describe it. Well, maybe you want to take a closer look at that RNG or whatever the hell is going on because at the moment loot is severelly bugged. Unless you want to tell me that getting 2 magic drops from the end boss of a map is something that works as designed!

The issue here is twofold:
a) items not dropping, which explains why over the past 70 map runs with 267% rarity I have seen 8 unieques.
b) the MOST important part. If gear is not dropped correctly, then I am sure maps arent dropped properly either and that is a limiting factor on game progression for me.

Awaiting a response.

Edit: This doesnt only occur in unique map bosses. The following rare monsters dropped 0 loot as well (didnt bother to take screenshots since it was mid-run but I am sure if you check logs you will see it was the case):

I don't have such proof but I've experienced this as well and now advise any parties I'm running with to not kill bosses next to sizeable obstacles :/.

I've seen stuff like this too, killed unique map bosses with over 100 item quantity and 200ish+ rarity then they drop 2 blue items. Like once i had the two unique map mod.. killed the first one and it exploded into items, killed the 2nd boss near a corner and it dropped 2 items. Kill two packs of monsters near a certain bend or edge/corner in a map and don't see anything drop, sometimes i'll kill stuff near a wall and the items will spawn in the middle of the room.

Theres a lot of people in game complaining/reporting similar issues. Would be awesome if more people could use the mechanism provided (/debug > press f8) and post some screenshots of the issue. I mean I assume that developers are overworked as it is and something tells me that regardless of the severity of the issue, they wont do much about it unless some more people start proving this is a major issue.

And I believe I figured out a way for easy reproduction. It appears its not entirely minion related. Before killing the mob I removed all my minions and killed it next to the wall. It resulted in 0 drops.

The problem becomes greater with minions due to the way mobs behave. Typically, a mob tends to run away when outnumbered and stops when its close to a wall or an object or whatever. I mean as a game mechanic it does kinda makes sense but not so much when it screws up the loot.

What I would like to note is that the lack of official responses is disconcerting. I mean is this even something that is being looked into?

Well, this is a free to play game, whose forum staff are probably mostly volunteers, and it the weekend here in New Zealand. Have some bloody patience.
Perhaps the staff are working on it, but want to refrain from comment until some kind of resolution is found.
Perhaps the (minimal) staff that develop and maintain this game are busy with other things.
Perhaps it's FUCKING EASTER WEEKEND YOU IGNORANT PRICK. THEY'RE MOST LIKELY ON HOLIDAY.

Perhaps someone really needs anger management.
Perhaps someone needs to read the whole post before replying.
Perhaps someone needs to realise that what I am trying to do here is raise the issue and provide as much information as necessary in order to solve a real issue that has been witnessed by many but either not presented, or misrepresented. I mean after all this is a Beta so the best time for these issues to be raised and resolved.

So basically, what I am trying to do here is to help figure out the problem myself and take some load off the actual staff making the resolution of it as easy as possible. But I guess, your cabbage like IQ failed to understand that part?

As for being an Easter weekend, well I had no idea considering here, in Greece, Easter is more than a month away.

My question was referring to whether there is any point for me to continue testing, and providing information or not. If staff is unaware/unable/unwilling to do something about it theres no point for me to continue here. IF on the other hand more information is needed I am happy to do my part and provide that information. So, no, I do not see the harm in that.

really i haven't got jack hole in any map runs i've done, a friend and i both wear IQ and IR - not 200% - not that fortunate - well since we never get jack for drops. If we get a few (2-4 between us) yellows it's a miracle - usually average or low level stuff though. All we really hope for is another map to pay for the one were in - might get one in 3 maps played.

have had bosses or champions drop nothing at all, 0, zip, nada, not even a single white.
