Minions and Secrets of Suffering

I'm thinking of messing around with the "Interrogation" unique cluster jewel and its keystone, "Secrets of Suffering".

Since minions don't normally receive the effects of passives in the same way the player does, is it possible to cheat around the keystone's restriction by having minions apply the original elemental ailment trio? Say, Summon Skitterbots to chill and shock things?

Sure thing. you yourself (or your trap, mines and totem) cannot shock, chill, freeze and ignite, but your minions can indeed do.

And while you are at it, here is a sweet tip: You know about The Taming's +10% incDamage for each elemental ailment on an enemy? Guess what - sap, brittle and scorch are considered elemental ailments for that mechanic
