What happens if you just release all targets in Betrayal?

Wondering what happens if you just choose to release all of them in Jun missions, instead of interrogate/betray?

Because that's all us PS4 peasants can actually do with it since it's been bugged for a little while now.

"release all of them" is ambigous, so I will answer the two meaning I am reading from that

If you mean "choosing the option "all prisoners are set free, + intel"", it will do just that: the up to three prisoners are freed and you are rewarded with an immediate boost to intel, the same that you would have got if you concluded naturally the 3-turn interrogation on them. It's always a good choice, since it will speed up the safehouse-raid process and the only drawback is to have the once prisoners once again on the loos

If you mean "choosing the option to let them go without interrogate or betray", it's a recent option that allows you to let a member of the syndacate to just walk freely. It will still drop its loot and it will count toward the safehouse area level, but you will gain no intels and no effect from it. This option was created when you have a 3-star Syndacate member which you don't want to lower in rank by interrogation, but offers an alternative which you don't like (swapping branch, lower someone else's rank...)

ya, the 2nd option. It's the only option that PS4 can do right now.
In my experience this is what happens if you release all the syndicants you run across

Spoiler
