Black Screen With Only Cursor Visible While Streaming

I really have two problems while streaming, but this is the one I'd like to solve most.

If I run the game in fullscreen with Aero enabled, xSplit only streams a black screen while the game is showing, but still shows my cursor. The cursor is even the in-game cursor. Just no other graphics.

The other problem being that if I run the game without Aero enabled in fullscreen, it constantly flickers on the stream (not in-game). I don't have either of these problems with any other game.

My current working solution is to play it in windowed, but since PoE doesn't have a fullscreen windowed option, this is less than optimal. Also, there's a pretty big FPS hit over fullscreen.
