Question regarding "ailment"

Hi, I have been playing poe for awhile (on and off), but never thought about "ailment" much...

but all of sudden I have tons of questions regarding "ailment".

mainly, does anyone knows whether debuff such as intimidate, blind and slow from temp chain count as ailment?

would impale count as ailment too ? on the wiki it says it is a debuff, but it never mention it is a type of ailment. (unlike bleed and poison are stated to be a type of ailments on wiki.)

so would debuff = ailment?

sorry for the poor english.

"An ailment is a detrimental effect associated with one or more damage types.

Ignite, chill, freeze, shock, scorch, brittle, and sap are collectively referred to as elemental ailments.

Chill, freeze, shock, scorch, brittle, and sap are collectively referred to as non-damaging ailments.

Bleed, poison, and ignite are damaging ailments."

So no, intimidate, blind and slow from temp chains aren't ailments.
Impale isn't either.
Thanks for the clear up.

Sigh, I was thinking about some 200%+ blind affect with evasion builds.

Guess need to scratch that then.

(from the wording, so unless specified otherwise nothing is ailment.)
As has already been covered temp chains slow isn't an ailment, and, not sure if this is what your concern is, but most ailments can be cured with a flask, and so can curses with an "of warding" flask.
