Also turns nearby notables into 4% dodge for spells and 4% dodge for attacks

And it`s 3 points away from the life/chaos node


The keystone and chaos notable alone = 22% ele mitigation

Well Maraketh and Karui only add stuff.

And they give good stuff like 5% chance to deal double damage and Flask charges gained or effect.

so dont place it where it hits a keystone...

just use a maraketh/kariu where you have a lot of nodes taken, to increase the effects of those nodes.

a decent one of those, hitting 4 notables and the connected travel paths, will beat ANY rare jewel.

These seem totally build-defining, yet you can't find out what they do until you're committed to your build. Crazy. Hope I figure them out someday.

Hey don't worry, if you find the perfect jewel for your build, your guaranteed never to find it again ever because you can't search for them by ###. You just need to activate a live search and watch the hundreds that scroll past every minute to try and catch it, 24/7 (not actually kidding).

You didn't specify yourself as one of those, though. Your original reply specifically said "If only I could use any of them. Even if it's not the flashiest use, using it for buffed small nodes and notables is still a case of "use any of them" and "still be reasonable." Think he was trying to open your mind to the possibility of "use any of them... and still be reasonable" without a keystone - because Keystones are not required to "use" a Timeless Jewel "and still be reasonable."

the keystones are honestly the LEAST interesting thing about them imo. You always know what its going to do, and in most cases its straight poop.

if you want to build around the few keystones that arent arse, then you dont care what the rest of the jewel does, because the jewels are the ONLY way to get the keystone. the rest of the jewel is going to be 'are any of these nodes even worth taking?'


using a jewel for the keystone is just like Xophs blood. You either want Avatar of Fire bad enough that you'll wear it, or you dont and you completely ignore the item.

I use a Vaal one (Doryani 5171 if anyone cares - socketed below MoM) on a Divine Ire Eternity Shroud char to turn Quick Recovery into Chaos Leech as life, whereby it provides 100% of my sustain.

I have no use for the keystone, but there are very limited options for caster sustain after the Warlord's Mark change, and all the other options would cost literal millions of DPS.

A certain amount of regular damage bypasses energy shield with the notable as well. So if you took this node and CI a white A1 mob would one shot you.
