Staves, Wands, Daggers

So, out of those three it would seem that (based on her general tree area) she's more oriented towards wands... but is there any way to make a viable staff or dagger build with a witch? I figure she'd be too squishy for such things, but it would be neat to see one past the beginning levels

I'm currently rolling up a dagger witch. I'm taking all the Energy Shield and mana/mana regen passives in the witch area before moving on to the Shadow area to get his dagger passive, Energy Shield passive and crit / crit damage passive, then moving south of the witch area to grab a bunch more Energy Shield and mana passives. I'll be grabbing 2 Power Charges and 1 Frenzy charge, as well as taking another power charge from Act 2 Merciless. I'll be using Chayula and Dream Fragments to become stun and freeze immune (since Chaos Inoculation is very weak in that regard) as well as boosting my mana pool, since I'll also be using Voll's protector. With charges up, I'll be pushing a massive crit chance, which will let me chug Surgeon's Granites pretty much at will. I'll have a bow as my second weapon set to use Poison+Explosive Arrow to counter Physical Damage Reflect mobs, for everything else Frenzy+Flicker Strike, Whirling Blades and Fire Trap for AOE, and Viper Strike for bosses.

I have a lightning strike / adder's touch witch. It's pretty fun.

So this is a really delayed response, but I've been playing a dagger witch, taking all the +crit options I can find out to Arcane Potency and Intense Zeal, and will now begin working out toward the shadow tree. With Rare Kris daggers and their 80% to global crit modifiers, it's worked pretty well, given I don't ever have to use the wand attack anyway.
