Maligaro/Shavronne quest not completing

I'm playing on my armageddon brand/scorching ray totem/rightous fury build (character called Righteousfuryphant). I've just killed Maligaro but the quest did not complete. Sin lands after the quest is done but does not give me the exclamation mark to talk to him, and if i talk to him the only option is goodbye. When i leave maligaro's sanctum the quest tells me to go back but Maligaro remains dead and the quest doesn't budge.

This happened to me earlyer with Shavronne too on the same character. However, loading another instance of Shavronne's Tower fixed the problem and the next kill counted so i thought it was a one off deal. Only i cannot load in another instance of maligaro's sanctum so the quest is stuck at the moment (have not tried going back into fellshrine ruins, getting maligaro's map again and spawning a new instance that way).

The black widow essence did drop upon death and i've gotten the key to the den from Silk so i can continue.

I'm not running any macros or whatever, though i should mention i haven't updated my loot filter for this league (incase that should matter, Filterblade from delve league).

Can't open portals since the map device isn't being lit anymore.

So basically I can't do anything to complete this quest.

Have you tried just continuing? Can you enter level 2?

I've also had this probalem, or something similar. I faced MAligaro in his map as part of the Act 7 questline, and after killing him he dropped the Black Venom and sin appeared, but it did not count as completing the quest. Now I cannot re-enter the instance to re-fight Maligaro as there is no map item in the fellshrine ruins, and the crypt map device is not interative.

I was able to fix this bug by finding a public party who was up to the quest, and going through their portals to fight Maligaro again.
