Why is Cerberus Limb so underrated?

What am I missing? It has decent spell damage stats, decent attack speed for movement, and can give more es than a mirror tier es shield, with the shield still giving a stack of armour. Is it because of stat sticks?

"decent" is the little brother of "crap".
The spell dmg stats alone are too weak to make this interesting for 99% of spellcasters. If you want to build a spell caster tank, go ahead. |

" It doesn't have any attack speed. 100% spell damage is like Doryani's Catalyst. Armour is useless. |

It just doesn't fit into any build. You have better options in elder/shaper items and other uniques for literally any other build archetype.
I have an aegis tank that uses 90k armour and even I find it useless for my build. Just can't fit it. (⌐■_■)

It's great when you're starting and don't have the currency for something better.
"Into the Labyrinth!
left step, right step, step step, left left. Into the Labyrinth!" |

" This, Its an interim item. I used it on my hipster summoner/ED occultist this league (my best HC mapper ever tbh) but that was solely for the massive ES boost. For most builds its just a slightly worse doryani's at least its not useless :) |

" My bad. I read cast speed as attack speed for some reason And the point i was trying to make about the armour was that it is VERY easy to get a very high es "shield" without having to get a high es shield. To it into perspective, there are quite a few armour shields around 2500-2600 armour for ~1ex. 2500 armour is equivalent to a 500es shield with Cerberus. The closest to that currently on Poe.trade is 493es and 10ex. |
