Doedre's Tenure Velvet Gloves Bug

The item described in the title isn't properly working for spell damage and other added abilities. I'm not sure if it's just my item that isn't working properly or if it's a bug with the item all together.

Here are the screenshots with it on and with it off.

This is a screenshot of my stats of my Fireball spell with the gloves off, it shows that my DPS is higher with them off.

If I could get someone to take a look into this I would be eternally grateful, I had just bought these gloves looking forward to the DPS increase. Thank you!

you don't post enough info to be sure of what the problem is but i'll take a guess.
your old gloves had a cast speed boost on them?.

the new gloves have a nice big spell damage boost but you are also hit with a 20% casting speed penalty. making your dps lower.

the combined effect of swapping out an old item with cast speed+ to the new spell power/cast speed- can result in a loss of dps though only a slight one.


would appear it is purely down to the cast speed penalty,

if you have a look at the numbers it clearly shows that your average damage per cast is up compared to the old, and that the spell cast speed was 27% before is now 7%

Seems people have issues with those gloves :P

Doedre's Tenure gloves will lower your DPS and this is intended! The upside is that you hit harder on each cast (to apply status ailments, to OHKO or just to have a better damage/mana ratio)

You're correct, I overlooked the spell cast debuff. I honestly thought it was a spell cast increase. I'm sincerely sorry for wasting your time. =]
