When you run an incursion into the temple from a map, currently the monsters inherit the mods from the map you start from. This can lead to big problems with the temple if you are running too high difficulty maps (aiming to get the atlas bonus for the map rather than xp).
This also leads to a disconnect between the difficulty of the incursions and the final temple which has a fixed monster level and mods that depend on the rooms in the temple. If the incursions did not pick up the mods from the base map but remained consistent with the temple difficulty instead I think this would make incursions more fun (although less challenging). i like that they pick up the mods from the maps,
as it leads to more drops from doing the incursions. Since the incursion in the map is optional you do not have to enter if you have a bad combination. i wish that the temple could be rolled for some more modifiers, as you say they are relatively easy. |
