Lightning Warp and Always Remaining Stationary?
I am just wondering, since this item states that when you move you lose all charges why does Lightning Warp remove all the charges? Since here in the Poe Wiki, it states; With Arctic Armour Lightning Warp can be used as a method of travel when using Arctic Armour, since this will allow the player to always remain stationary and thus always receive Arctic Armour's less Damage taken while stationary bonus. "TO ALWAYS REMAIN STATIONARY" is not completely true. Since it removes the Charges, I am willing to incline the idea that Lightning Warp still counts as movement and moving, thus I wonder does it work with Arctic Armor at all coding wise? Since there is no way to really test it, or not any I know off, does Arctic Armor truly even work with Arctic Armor? Assumes it does in a way since you are stationary all the time except for that brief moment where Lightning Warp ports you? But still, taking DMG at time of porting would still result in unreduced DMG taken if it is to be judged by the mechanic of the boots, since you lose all charges when you port, that means you are moving, so at that moment the "stationary" Arctic Armor bonus does not apply I guess. If not, the boots or LW doesn't work as intended. Or the wording "Always" must be removed from "always remain stationary" and "always receives the Arctic Armor buff". Any explanations? If your character changes position, you move. It does not matter whether you walk, use a movement skill, or teleport.
Yes, with Lightning Warp there is never a period of time when you are not stationary - thus Arctic Armor will always affect you. But you do move when you change position, so you lose the charges from the boots. The movement is just instant - there is no point in time when the "while moving" condition applies. (Found on some Abyssal jewels for instance.) Last edited by Abdiel_Kavash#5296 on Jun 5, 2018, 4:41:14 AM
