Scorching Ray benefit from +to attack skills?
Sorry for the noob question - can't seem to find a straight answer in research. Have a ring that does 30% increased elemental damage to attack skills. Will SR benefit from this?

No; Scorching Ray is a spell, not an attack. :)
Edit: Scorching Ray is a bit weird in that, instead of 'hitting' enemies, it applies a Damage Over Time effect. This means that added damage to spells doesn't affect it either. Thank you for the clarification - most appreciated!

" To clarify further, increased % damage to spells DOES affect SR, but as you say flat added x - y damage to spells DOES NOT. We're all in this leaky boat together, people.

" That's complicated!! You mean a weapon with +50% to Fire Spell can improve Scorch, but a weapon with Add 30-50 Fire Damage to Spell does not improve Scorch? Why the difference? |

" That is correct. Scorching Ray deals Damage over Time, which is applied to the target continuously. Therefore you can increase the "rate" of the damage by 30%. But there is no "single hit" value that could reasonably have 30 flat damage added to it. (All Damage over Time effects work like this, this is not unique to Scorching Ray.)
