Never got to this point in the game, so...
As the title states, never reached the point (The late game, where little stat gains matter a lot) where I would worry about multi-crafting mods on to gear. Well, I am finally at that point now, and I have a few questions about it.
If an item is missing 1-2 prefix's, or suffix's, or missing 1/1, 2/1, 1/2, I can multi-craft up to the 3 prefix or 3 suffix cap, right? Can I multi-craft a prefix and a suffix, or does it have to be the same category for each crafted mod? Yes, I am a newb. If somebody can fill out the small details for me, it'd be gratefully appreciated. Last bumped on Apr 7, 2018, 11:18:16 AM

Multi-modding is not for adding one or two missing mods. It takes up a suffix itself, so if an item is missing one suffix the multi-mod suffix will use it. It's almost always used when you have a freshly regaled item with really good rolls.
By all means do some more research about advanced crafting, but unless you really know what you are doing, you are way better off just buying what you need. |

" Yes, I realize it will take that suffix or prefix slot up; And if it doesn't have a prefix/suffix slot open, it can't add it, right? If it's decked out in 3/3 prefix's and suffix's, you cannot craft on to it, or so I believe, because it has no slots available. You'd have to wipe a slot away and hope you don't ruin the item entirely. What I am wanting to know though is precisely how many slots can you multi-craft on to an item? As many as are available? And also, can you multi-craft on prefix's as well as suffix's, or can you just do one or the other on any given item (If an item is at 2/3 prefix's and suffix's, can I add a prefix that's available, as well as a suffix, or do I just have to choose one or the other?) Oh, and does the multi-craft it self take up a suffix slot? Last edited by Bretherezenx#0890 on Apr 6, 2018, 2:52:45 PM

The Multimod itself is a suffix. And after you have added that, you can add as many mods as you can as long as there is space. An item can only have 3 suffixes and 3 prefixes, you can add whatever you want as long as you have the multimod on there.
What the guy above was trying to say, is that to multimod an item, it needs at least 3 slots open or there is no point, since multimod itself takes up a suffix, there is no point in adding multimod + 1 more mod, that effectively gives you only 1 mod. |

" Oh, I knew that much. That'd be an entire waste for sure. I'm beyond casual, I only get maybe a handful of Exalts each League, lol. I wouldn't dream of spending 2 on just a single prefix or suffix. But thanks! Just as I thought about Multi-Crafting. ^~^ Last edited by Bretherezenx#0890 on Apr 6, 2018, 3:05:35 PM

On a related note, the shield I want to multi-craft has one Prefix (2 open Prefix slots).
It has all of the Suffix's that I need, however, that poses the immediate problem. The shield is missing the defense that I desire, the armor/energy shield on it; Missing those two additional mods really holds it back for me. I can live without a strength roll on the shield, or cold resistance, as every other item I wear rolling appropriate stats, rolled how I need them to be, gets me to all my thresholds desired adequately. But, is there a way to remove specific Suffix's? Or do I have to hunt down the Beastcraft remove suffix and hope it doesn't nuke the fire resistance, and then multi-mod it how I need it to be? Edit: Or as another thought, can I just nuke all the suffix's and just add whatever I want anyways? xD That'd be nice... But I am sleepy. I am going to get a few hours of sleep now. I'll check back when I wake up. Last edited by Bretherezenx#0890 on Apr 6, 2018, 4:01:40 PM

You say you're casual/new-ish, so let me give you a tip. It's almost always cheaper to buy what you want than craft it, particularly in Standard. I'm positive that you can multiple pieces of very good gear for the two exalts that you're considering spending for multiple crafted mods.
As long as you know that going in, have at it. |

" Unless a better resist shield comes cheaper than an Archon Kite Shield rare, I am not sure if it'd be cheaper or not haha. I also need the shield to have an adequate amount of Shield. Armor is of no consequence really. Preferrably it'll have all resistance, and maximum fire resist suffix, and anything over 150 added shielding on it. Although, now that I am thinking about it. One of the two rares that I am trying to get really cheap (like 3C), has all of my stats and is just missing prefixs. I don't even have to multicraft it to tack on a Tier 1 armor/shielding % mod... |
