Game freezes, everything speeds up crazy, game continues lagging

I've seen this problem now multiple times on this forum and just wanted to raise awareness for it with my thread.
The facts so far:
-This problem came to existence with the start of bestiary.
-The problem occurs no matter where you are located (Your own hideout, Bossfights..).
-Only the current map is affected! When changing maps the problem usually goes away and you can hope to be spared for the next few minutes. (Nice that I found that out so I try to change maps but losing a portal in maps can sometimes be really bad too, or when you fight vs Izaro)
-When the Problem occurs everything stops completely or starts lagging really hard until it then usually stops so you have a frozen screen (some visual effects are still going and very rarely I could even move freely while everything was frozen but thats very rare). After some time the freeze stops and everything that happened will be loaded and the game speeds up incredibly to make up for the lost time. Then you're usually dead.

Edit: Problem stopped occuring for me now, try changing your DirectX in the game options to something else (in my case 11 to 9). Not sure if this caused it or if it was fixed with a patch.

Yup. zero issues last league, perfectly optimal smooth gameplay - and now this league it'll occur randomly, the exact issue you described, game freezes momentarily then suddenly everything plays catchup. I find when it does occur, it'll occur several times in succession.

I play hardcore and frankly I've been put off from playing completely so far. I can't play optimally, I am continuously scared of this lag happening during a boss fight. I am an avid buyer of the MTX Boxes (almost full fire/ice wing set) but this league, I won't be buying anything until I can play properly.

A statement from any of the support staff would be great. If there is a solution and I missed it I'm sorry and please provide me with a link, but I didn't see anything until now other than people complaining about the issue and getting no helpful answer.
If there is no solution for the problem right now then I would be more than pleased by a simple answer like 'We know this problem exists and we are working on fixing it'.

Hi, i have exactly the same problems and it started today yesterday i had no problems.
I try everything from diferent settings reset my internet router reinstall the game.
Nothing works.
It happends to me even in towns so i dont know what to do.

I have the same problems, came to the forums to see if Im the only one.
I never had any problems.
Im reinstalling the game right now, maybe it will help.

I too am having this issue, makes completing zones literally impossible. Just spent 2 hrs trying to get the crystal veins waypoint in act 4 because I would just freeze up and either die when the catch up happens or would have to re log and run all the way back just to freeze again and repeat. Was super keen for this league and just can't play the game feels so bad, even farmed myself an Oni and now can't even use it :(

Happening to me too on Australian Realm. If you press F1 and watch latency it will be spiking to ungodly levels which is what is causing the freezing (lock-step)
