Switching from Steam Client to PoE Default

Hi, is there a way to switch from the steam client to the PoE client from the default site?

Path of Exile accounts created through Steam won't have independent log in credentials, so you wouldn't be able to log in. If you contact GGG they can help you add some to your account so you can use the standalone client. You'd need to e-mail support@grindinggear.com.

There's been a bit of a backlog since the festive season, so you might be waiting for a response longer than normal. They'll help you out as soon as they can. :)
