black flag not dropping into the lite beacon

I have had nothing but problems with this an today has been the worst using a new char it was impossible to drop the flag in the flame it hit the deck many many times so left it there an reran it again 4 times picking up the flag the rerunning beacon an trying the drop again didn't work the 4th run I tried different server Iam playing in std if that makes any difference ?

Are you actually trying to move the item from your inventory into the flame? Because that's not how you do it. Just click the flame with the item in the inventory.

The wording should be changed but I got it finally the next day

Every quest item used to activate some target requires you to click the target while the quest item is in your inventory, not on your mouse. Why would this particular one be different?
