Templar need advice

Hi there people
Im a new Templar lvl 21 on normal Harbringer with Fire Totem as build. What route would u take for defense. BloodMagic or CI !? Bare in mind im new and dont have any currency. none of them.you can go for block or mind over matter.ci will be expensive for you.and its not a real defence mechanic.
