Will the "The Fall of Oriath" packs tether PoE to my Steam Account

Hi,

I was thinking about grabbing the Chrono.gg deal for The Fall of Oriath beta mainly (at least for now) just so that I can tether* the game to my Steam account permanently.

I know that the key there stil lets you play the beta through the Steam client, though since the key is activated here first and there's an unlock for the beta area on Steam, I just wanted to check and see if that will still tether the game?

*I mean "tether" in the same sense as its applied to other Free-To-Play games on steam---where you can bind an FTP game to your account (usually though purchasing a DLC in the Steam store, or by using game/DLC keys that activate directly through Steam) so that, unlike ordinarily with FTP games, the game's entry still remains in your library even when you uninstall it. Basically, tethering just lets you keep free-to-play games in your library permanently just like any purchased game.

Hello,

You cannot play Path of Exile without a Path of Exile account. If you're playing through Steam then your Path of Exile and Steam accounts are already "tethered" in the way that you mean. The reason this isn't reflected on the Path of Exile website is because you've created another account on the website, instead of logging into the website through Steam;

You cannot "tether" two Path of Exile accounts to a single Steam account - nor do you need to. Just log out of the website, go to the log in page, and click the green button to proceed.
"VPs are not required to change their posting style. They are still welcome to express their opinions and take part in any discussions they wish. Their only responsibility is to continue doing what they have always done - posting in a friendly and constructive manner."

Wow, that's.... not helpful in the slightest. Quite literally nothing you've said addresses what was actually asked--nor even attempts to use the terms as defined. It's extremely clear that you don't understand the way I meant tether at all here.

Normally even unhelpful answers warrant goodwill for at least trying, but I'm actually worse off than no answer here--because the one thing that response does tell me is how easily you've dismissed what I wrote as irrelevant without bothering to actually read it.

I find your reply very frustrating considering the effort I put into writing a lengthy explanation with clearly defined terms and expectations--especially for what is essentially a yes/no question anyway. I had already even anticipated that same sort of quick reply mistaking keywords for comprehension---which is exactly why I was so diligent about elaborating my question so clearly in the first place. Apparently it's not even a matter of ensuring comprehension--it just doesn't matter how well you distinguish the real subject from whatever others might just presume when they aren't going to read the details in the first place.

Is there anyone here who can actually answer my question?
