Skill gem combination help please

Hey guys would like some help with these skill gems, trying to figure out good combinations of skill gem choices to increase my links on my gear to try and compliment my character better.

Is there any good skill gem combinations for these such skills?

Hatred
Summon Ice Golem

Well, you can do anything you would like to :p

Hatred incentivises Physical damage scaling.

Summon Ice Golem incentivises critical Attack builds.

Herald of Ice incentivises dealing cold damage and Freezing.

All these together means your best bet at optimising a build around these skills will be a critical cold conversion build - likely something like Ice Shot, Glacial Hammer, or Ice Crash. I've made an Ice Crash Slayer that is pretty powerful. Slayer specialises in two handed weapons and leech in case you didn't know. May be relevant to mention Hrimsorrow Unique gloves, which nowadays gives 50% physical to cold conversion helping you reach 100% cold damage mix.

When you take those incentives to their logical maximum you probably want Cold Penetration (unless you are Inquisitor), Hypothermia, Faster Attacks, Increased Critical Strikes, Weapon Elemental Damage (this will change name in 3.0)...

For me since I was Ice Crash, Melee Physical Damage was a no brainer as well.

Increased Critical Damage is an option but there are probably better options.

For supporting skills, you got plenty of choices for Curse. Temporal Chains will stack with Chill/Freeze. Frostbite and Elemental Weakness will be very helpful in boosting damage especially if you get full cold damage mix. Assassin's Mark for critical.

Cold has a special supporting skill called Frost Bomb which lowers enemy cold resistance. You may be asking "why not Frostbite" and I would answer "why not both?" The other benefit of using Frost Bomb is enemies do not have immunities or less effectiveness multipliers against Frost Bomb while they do against Curses, so Frost Bomb is more reliable.

hatred works on physical base damage
herald of ice works well when you kill frozen enemy, so crit or a lot of chance to freeze
ice golem gives crit chance and accuracy, also crit

basically this screams crit EK, or crit phys attack build like frost blades/lacerate/cleave/reave/spectral throw
