Can you take ban because of fishing?

I played 5 months ago. In last league droped for me one fishing rod, but i sold it Why did I need chaos to close my build. Ok! I honestly did not pay much attention ... because I already played other games that had fishing and it was a normal thing.

But this week they were talking about it in the chat, and some people said that you could not argue about it, because is " a secret".

Well.. I got confused. After all ... fishing in the path of exile can or can not?


If can not, why still drop fish rod?

If i drop (or buy from poe.trade) one fish rod i can try fishing, but i cant say nothing about it? is it?


I searched in the net about it, and in several places I read the same word ... "Secret"

But it scared me was a video of ZiggyD in which he had the account closed after trying to fish.

That was Ziz not Ziggy who got banned for trying to "solve" fishing on stream. I know it is hard to tell them apart these days though. They are basically the same person now.

GGG enabled fishing rods to drop in a game without fishing to let people think you could fish.

It's really just a meme at this point. That said, it was a huge quality of life when they removed fishing desync.
