Can Lacerate and Cyclone be used together well?

I'm asking because I was thinking of using Lacerate for mapping, and Cyclone for boss fighting. Can I do that without changing gem/skill setups? (planning on using 2h Axe, maybe Hezmata's Bloodlust as the final weapon)

I think you're doing it wrong, Lacerate has higher single target damage with the overlap, while Cyclone is probably a better map clearer since it clears on the move.

Ok, thanks for the reply and info. I've actually never used Lacerate before, so I didn't know how it worked.
