12 Hour Clock
|
Having a clock in the HUD is a great feature but it's a 24 hour clock.
Is there any chance we can have the option of a 12 hour clock? Last bumped on Nov 13, 2018, 4:09:14 PM

Would really appreciate this feature as a numerically-challenged American (imperial units/12 hour clock raised). It would be a nice QOL upgrade not to have to do quick math to understand the 24 hour format everyone else in the world + US military uses (not being sarcastic, it really would be nice to have a toggle for 12 hour format :) )

Yes, I could use this badly as well. Please please add a toggle to make it that.

Agreed. this would be nice.

a date format where you have to add noon or midnight at 12 cause half your population isn't able to differ between them?
ok, next patch hits at 12am tomorrow. how much time is left? age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" I've always found the 12 hour format confusing and sometimes inconsistent when using the silly 12am or 12pm. I don't care if there is an option to change the format though, but it does not seem to me like something worth doing for GGG. They don't loose anything by keeping the sytem logical and clear imho. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Nov 10, 2018, 4:41:20 AM

Time is an illusion exile.
There is a scientifical approach to measure or calculate a certain outcome where we have insufficiend data to begin with. Example: how many grains of sand are in a metric cube? Nobody can tell, without counting. For this, we can use a "Fermi approach" or "Fermi approximation". I can assume a grain of sand is 0.3mm give or take, just a rough estimate. Now we multiply by x y z axis =3billion grains of sand in a metric cube. Is this intersting? Ofcourse not BUT there is a daily used Fermi approximation, one almost every single person on the planet uses: TIME How long is a day? 24hours? WRONG It actually is 23hours 56minutes and 4seconds +some microseconds, depending if you use sidereal rotation measure or 360° earth rotation. Probably half the planet does not know we are 4 minutes short of a day, yet we count a day as 24hours. Tldr. Yeah why not give AM PM option? Should not be much of coding I guess. I'll keep to the 24h system, it's commonly accepted in our regions here. Vorici can shove his fuse up his [removed]

do we have to change metric system too?
just because you use silly measure systems does not mean other part of the world has to adapt to that. Trust your mind and strengthen your abilities!

+1 To this idea as this would help out a lot of players.
To add a options of 12h or 24h should not be to hard right ? |

This is such a silly request it made me smile.
