Beginner Looking for Shadow Build

HI guys I am brand new to this game and made a shadow character. I really dont want to do a bad build so I was wondering if anyone could let me know of any good shadow beginner builds? Or should I switch to another character type as a beginner? Thanks!!

I can't find any beginner shadow build.......

As a beginner you usually want to stick with one of the "pure" classes. (Marauder-Strength, Witch-Intelligence, Ranger-Dexterity). The other classes are mixed. The Shadow in particular mixes Int and Dex. There's been some debate, but my personal opinion is Shadow is probably the worst class for beginners due to its place in the tree having such a hard time getting life.

Because of Shadow's distance from many life nodes, many shadow builds require high energy shield, which is generally more expensive, and a bit of a more difficult play style - requiring more knowledge of how stats multiply and effective use of leech. That's not to say energy shield isn't powerful, the community pretty much universally agrees that good ES builds are stronger than life builds right now, but that's only at the really expensive top end.

Depending on what play style you want to have, I might recommend something like an SRS (summon raging spirit) witch which is cheap, easy, and *very* powerful (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1667893 is pretty close to my personal SRS build). If you really want to stick with Shadow, I would probably recommend a bladefall trap shadow - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1576332 which is powerful, but a bit squishy.
