What is "increased defences with equipped shield"? |

It is a node, but what does it exactly do?

If a shield has any of the stats that armours usually have (ES, Eva, Armour) it increases the base amount a shield has.
Example Shield has 100 armour and 100 eva Node gives 10% increased defenses. Shield will now give 110 armour and 110 eva. 'It is good to contact a moderator if you feel someone is being a twat' Charan, Forum Moderator

Then if shield has ES, it will increase ES as well?
ES is no defense, or it counts as defense in this? InGame: ClawInMyHand
