best gem for viper strike except duration?

There's nothing stopping you from using multiple copies of the same support gems on different skills.

I currently only have Viper's Strike supported with Faster Attacks, which is also supporting my Leap Slam. I have a bit of a socket problem atm

Am not really sure myself, definetly increased duration works, Gna try viper strike, added chaos damage, inceased duration and faster attacks.

Added Chaos Damage does not appear to work as you'd expect - the chaos damage / s on Viper Strike appears to be unchanged. I'm using Faster Attacks (and obviously Increased Duration).

Multistrike is great if there aren't other enemies around to steal the hits.

I've actually been trying out a viper-centric build and I like the fact that multi applies it to multiple targets.
It attacks fast enough anyway, and will be even faster once I link up faster attacks, so its nice to be able to apply the DOT to the whole mob at once (more or less) than to one guy at a time.
I think this makes up for the fact that the viper stacks don't work with splash or proliferate.

I've not tested this yet, but I'm planning something like:
viper strike + multistrike + faster attacks + added [something] damage.

added chaos would be interesting, but is hard to find. I was probably going to go with lightning because I'm using a crit dagger build, so I'll be stacking shock as well as the viper DOT for what I hope will add up to be a lot of damage.
