Flame Dash teleporting in reverse direction

It happens from time to time, so far only when I'm trying to get out of group of mobs. I have Spell Echo on main skill (Margma Orb) so I tend to hold Flame Dash key for a bit, which leads to two consecutive casts of Flame Dash. First cast will teleport me to targetted location, but second cast will teleport me in reverse direction right back into group of mobs.

I play with Lockstep mode.

Yeah imagine you're flame dashing to the right and there's a mob between where you currently are and the spot you're dashing to. You'll be dashing to the right, going past the mob. But when you flame dashed for the first time you might have targeted that mob to the right. When you flame dash for the second time you'd be going left instead of right (even though the cursor is right of you) because the mob (that is now to your left) was still targeted at the start of the second cast (or when the action was sent to the servers).

:donno: if that's it but I've seen this happen a lot with whirling blades too.
Yes, it happens even more with WB, and it's very annoying.

When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch?
If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch.
Watching witches watch watches is not for the faint of heart...

what's wb? warbands?
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
Im a arc user and i have flame dash connected to faster casting and i noticed that if i hold dash for it to dash 2 3 times it reverses some times. few times i tried to dash away from boss or mobs and it got me back into the boss/ mobs. leading to my death. PLZ fix this. its a nice skill but does not work properly, it happens very often. its like it looses mouse position or something.
I think sometimes this is due to lag (spikes in your case). It duplicates your inputs sometimes, happened a lot to me when I was experiencing about 8% packet loss.

The targetting enemy is also a possibility, if you accidentally targetted (and held key on) a minion and didn't release that key within the frame before pressing your flame dash key, despite moving your cursor away it will count as if you're holding flame dash on the targetted monster.
