Herald of Thunder and Faster Casting

Is Herald of Thunder affected by Faster Casting? Like will the lightning bolts actually strike faster or does the buff just cast faster? When I put the gem linked with it I see a decrease in cast time, but I'm not sure if the bolts are actually hitting faster, or if it's just casting the actual buff faster....

Thanks for the confirmation Daniel. I suspected the wiki was incorrect when I didn't notice any significant change when I socketed a 45% faster casting.

Somebody more capable at wiki things should update the HoT page.

You will cast the buff faster. Strikes will not occur any faster, there is no way to modify the delay between strikes.

Can there be multiple instances of HoT's lightning strike buff? Or will it just refresh the duration of one?
