Eta on release

Any idea on when Path of exile will be released?
Not asking for a date. :)
But would it be possible of a 2012 release in q1,2,3 or 4. Would it more likely be early 2013?
Just wondering because it looks Wicked.
And also is there going to be a fan-site kit?.
I am currently in the process of making a fan-site.
I have no beta access so it is taking longer then expected to finish the site.
I am about 3/4 of the way but need some user input.
If anyone has some useful ideas please message me on the forums.
Also When would it be likely to see a open beta release?

From what I heard, its supposed to be released some time in Q1 2012, which will be open beta. Not sure when full release is though.

not sure about an official release, but I heard 1.0 will be open beta and after open beta start there will be no more wipes, so it's like a release

Thanks for the info , should only be a week or so before my website is up , still looking for Release info :)

I think I heard that they plan on releasing it at the new year (Jannuary 1st).. but its only theyr goal.. it doesnt mean its easy to achieve

Also what is australia's latency going to be like on this game , I know that in other games like wow it gets pretty horrific 300+ms latency anyone have any rough idea's where the servers will be?.

Dont want it to be release soon and can take part in testers. Thought, they want a long time(enough) to finish gameplay and story perfectly, also fix bug(this can ruin the game with hackers :|)...

will all our stats and stuff be scrubbed on open beta release or do we keep our stuff from closed beta ??(u know how some games reset every thing on open beta release ) just wondering

There will be a wipe from closed to open beta, but they might just reduce our characters to level 1 so we can keep our names. All equipment and progress would be removed, of course.

All I can say is Diablo 3 better step it up. So many killer games are releasing.....they might lose a few customers. I can't see myself getting into PoE and then dropping it for D3 when it finally comes out. Q1 2012 would be awsome! :)
