CWDT + Enduring Cry + Immortal Call
|
Hello guys!
So I am getting more and more confused about this. According to wiki, when I sequence my gems like CWDT, Enduring Cry, Immortal Call, it is suppsoed to 1) give me my endurance charge when damage taken 2) consume charges with IC so I was asking around on global (wanted to assure myself that the sequencing is correct, +increased duration) and I was told that it simply does not work that way and that I have to delink my IC and either cast it manually or link it to another CWDT. Because... reasons. So yea, I just wanted to know how exactly this stuff works and how to use it the best way it can be used. Thanks for any useful responses and good luck on your adventures, Exiles! =) |

the problem is that CWDT trigger IC and EC at the same time - you get only base time duration(around 1 sec) from IC and gain some endurance charges. Your endurance charges wont get consumed at the first CWDT trigger

It does work that way in a fashion, if you socket your gems properly it will trigger EC before IC and IC will consume the charges.
However, when they told you it doesn't work they were also right, because it will happen only the first time, when counters on both spells start from scratch (and maybe a few times more during your session). The thing is, counter on enduring cry is paused while the gem is on cooldown so after the first trigger the gems go out of sync and won't be triggered by the same hit again except when they align by pure chance, which won't float in the long run. @coolon Yup, thats what I was told on global and thats whats wrong on wiki then. According to wiki, it is supposed to trigger spells starting from top left and continuing through links, aka it should allow IC to consumes Endurance Charges from EC. Well, how to go about that then? Gotta cast manually?
Or would it work if I linked IC with higher level CWDT so I generate Endurance Charges with CWDT+EC, but IC triggers only when I take like a lot of damage? Last edited by Darth_Silegy#7718 on Sep 2, 2014, 8:44:13 AM

You need to get IC 's level as high as possible because you don't want it to be triggered too much because lower instances of IC overwrites higher ones if they trigger rigt next to the first one which had one EC on it.
The choice of double setup to get EC seperately from IC is up to you at this point. If you feel like you never take twice the time the damage to trigger IC 2 times (thing you want to avoid) one setup is more than enough. Double setup is better if you can. Note that Increased Duration level can be higher than your CwdT. IGN - Nyakudaren

You want Ecry on a level 1 CwDT (or similar extrmely low level) with ICall having a threshold at least twice the threshold for ECry, and greater than the mnimum damage you take form enemies. At higher levels you wangt the threshold higher than about 500 damage or so minimum.
I put them in my weapon/shield slots, since I can put Ecry+CwDT+Whatever in one hand and ICall+CwDT+IncDuration in the other. IGN - PlutoChthon, Talvathir Last edited by Autocthon#5515 on Sep 2, 2014, 10:13:08 AM

" So is there a "sweet spot" in terms of levels for a single setup? I was using CwDT lvl 7 + Enduring Cry lvl 9 + Immortal Call lvl 8 + Increased Duration (max level) since the gem levels match up perfectly with the CwDT requirement. But if what you said is true, then Immortal Call (and, necessarily, CwDT) should be even higher. What levels do you recommend?
