Seems you already know what the issue is... you need to upgrade your PC.

So there's really not much we can do for support. If all you want to do is suggest they add an option to disable rain, then you should do that in the Suggestions or Feedback forum and not here in Support. This is the forum to actively support user issues. In your case, there's no much we can do to support an older PC experiencing bottlenecks such as the one you posted.

Actually, this game IS a graphics showcase. The details of PoE are very high... while you might not see or appreciate it, that doesn't mean it isn't there. In addition to that, their engine is still fairly immature and in need of serious optimizations. As you said, it's a free-to-play game.

If you'd like to suggest an option to disable weather effects, post it in the Suggestions or Feedback forum. There is no option now for it, so there is not a lot of "support" we can do for that problem.

I have a feeling GGG won't add the option because it ruins the immersion, and really you should be upgrading your PC if it doesn't play the game properly. My PC has no issues at all in rain zones or anywhere else. I get a nice steady game with no lag or stutters. I also upgraded my PC so it was able to play it.

That's the nature of PC gaming. Don't like it, then you should get a console.
