Alright, so I came up with another suggestion

After dying a few times in a no waypoint zone, I remembered many games have a tombstone or show your body where you died last...they usually let you touch to collect a % of lost xp. I'm not asking for that part to be added, just a marker on the map... or even a corpse on the ground and not visible on map.

Yea pretty much like D2. Dunno how hard is to change this in the game, but dying this way and have to run to your body can be extremely annoying as well.
