Doing a CI Char! Need Help :)

Hello Guys.
I'm playing PoE for more than 1 year now. But I have never tried to play a CI char.
I wanted to start with a witch, probably a caster. But I want it to be CI.
Do you can tell me, how do I start them? Do I have to stat life to play it without dying every hour (it's for softcore).
If yes, how long I should do that untill I start switching to ES?

If there are any other things I should know for being a CI char pease tell me :)

I have played a few CI characters. While leveling take life nodes and then respec into ES nodes when you go CI. Mid 60's is best to go CI and most of the best ES gear is available after level68.

Start by selecting your end game gear. Aim for 3k ES at least, assuming +200% or so ES from the tree. Once you see what the bonuses are on the gear you can get a better idea how to spec your build. Silly to spec lightning skill if all your high es armor gives bonus to five, for example.
