Question about Curse on Hit Mechanic

Since my Question in the correspondent Subforum stays unanswered, i gonna try my luck here:

Does the actual HIT that triggers the Curse _already benefit from the Curse_ ?
Aka is the Curse applied even before/same time as the hit? OR

Do _only_ subsequent Attacks but not the triggering Attack benefit from the Curse?

Nope, once you hit something with your skill it gets cursed. For your skills to benefit from them the target must previously be cursed.

first you need to hit something with linked attack
now you need Curse on hit to trigger linked curse(s)
if it triggers, curse(s) apply
now they are applied
