The drop timer really needs to be longer.

Another 2 seconds added to the timer would be perfect, but the way it is currently, I really don't even want to play with other people. In the thick of a battle, losing a Orange or dying isn't exactly an option I want to pick between.

I always thought the timer was there for ranged classes not to get too shafted by melee when it comes to loot, but I guess everyone assumes that loot with their name is theirs by right.
Might aswell get rid of the timer completely and we don't have to suffer these "ninjas keep taking my loot!! buhu" threads. |

" None of them realize that at one time there was no timer. They dont even realize that being given a chance to grab an item before anyone else can is a gift...they just think it means its "theirs". The item is yours when it is in your bag.

" Of course they realize it. They also realize how dumb it is. We should be worrying about killing mobs while they're still alive. Not ditching our teammates to go pickup loot. That is the single biggest reason (outside of leeching and griefing) why ffa loot is so bad and has for the most part become obsolete in basically every single rpg released nowadays. Honestly, I don't care all that much. I'll adapt to whatever method the devs finally decide on, even it it's full ffa with no timer. That still doesn't make it any less of a dumb mechanic. I think only logical solution to this problem is for GGG to go through this thread and make loot timer 50% less for every whiny member posting about the loot timer being too short.
