I don't think you really need 3 attack skills. 2 are enough, one aoe and one single target.
And of all the 3 listed, lightning strike with more projectiles and iron grip makes everything else look like baby toys. Also, you made the same mistake as I did, wanting a lightning staff build, I went all the way to the witch area for a measling 12% lightning damage increase. Let's consider this scenario: 1. mace does 100 damage lightning strike converts 50% physical damage into elemental, precisely, 50 lightning damage 50 + 50*1.12 = 106 damage from lightning strike and the 12% elemental damage from witch node 2. at the templar starting area, there's a 10% melee damage node you skipped mace now does 100 + 100*0.1 = 110 damage, and so does lightning strike. we received a better boost, and only spent one point on one node, very close to us I am thinking of making a new templar now, built around lightning strike, mace + shield.
